¡Hola amigos!

My team and I have been in Costa Rica for about three weeks now and one of the things that continues to blow me away is how colorful this country is. The colors are vibrant and breathtaking. It’s almost impossible to NOT see each color of the rainbow everyday. These past few weeks I have tried to capture some of the rainbows I see here in Costa Rica.

The many rainbows I see remind me of the covenant God made with Noah (Genesis 9:1-17). Here, God tells Noah to build an ark and to prepare for a flood. Noah is kind of confused by these instructions; however, Noah is a faithful servant so he does as he is told. Eventually, there is a great flood and it becomes painfully clear why the Lord had Noah build an ark. At the end of the flood Noah sees a rainbow which symbolizes God keeping His covenant with Noah.

I think this story is very reflective of what’s happening to my team and I right now. Currently, we are in quarantine and are unable to do typical ministry each day. Through this, the Lord has been telling us that we need to slow down and be still. We are all kind of confused by this because we came to the World Race on fire and ready to serve Him in radical ways. However, like Noah, we are faithful to Christ and are listening to Him.

Our flood has not arrived yet, but we know the Lord will reveal His why behind our quarantine.

Our rainbows have arrived and through them God is reminding us that He is keeping all of His promises to us.

It doesn’t make sense yet and that’s okay.

What are some ways the Lord is preparing you for an upcoming flood?

xoxo claudzilla
